Lake Texana State Park

Lake Texana is located near Victoria Texas, right outside Edna, Texas. We visit this lake more than any other due to it's proximity to our house and it's a beautiful park. There are a lot of deer - as you can tell from the photos. They are pretty tame. There is a lot of wildlife at this park.

There aren't many hiking trails but the ones they do have are not physically demanding so you can take young children on them with you. The has big sites, you can rent canoes during the day and there are several fishing piers. This park also has alligators and they can usually be viewed down by the piers. As soon as I take some pictures of them, I'll post them.
