Perdernales Falls State Park

Perdernales Falls is located North West of Austin Texas. It is known for it's beautiful falls located on the Perdernales River. You can hike down and climb on the falls. Be sure to wear good hiking boots as the surface can be slippery. Also, it can be a physical event hiking the falls. There are places you will have to climb/jump to walk the entire falls.

There are quite a few hiking trails. The long trail will take about 8 hours to hike and requires quite a bit of physical activity but well worth the hike. Take plenty of food/water for the hike as there is nothing out there. You can ride the trails with your mountain bike if you have a quality bike. It will take about 4 hours and there are a couple of places you will have to carry your bike.

This is a wonderful park with great campsites. A lot of them are secluded and offer a lot of privacy. We love to go to this park during the Thanksgiving holidays!
